Go too far, and you might accidentally see the answers to puzzles you’ve not got to yet, and that would be rubbish.

The Control Room: the letter

The number in each line refers to the corresponding word in that line - including the redacted words - so ‘two’ refers to the second word on that particular line, and so on.

These words create the following sentence:

“To secure the eight digit code use only the odd numbers in this letter.”

The code is therefore: 51593751

Living Quarters

Loaded gum

Eight of the words in the complete page are capitalised for no good reason. (Queue, You, Eye, Ex, Owe, Tea, Eye, See.) If you sound out these words, you’ll be spelling out word number one:

QUIXOTIC

Falconer’s survival Kit

The missing items in each photo, in order, are:

4. String
15. Sunglasses
7. Banana
13. Whistle
12. Large knife (partially obscured text in the Base Journal).

The code is: 41571312

Recreation Room

Lowell’s riddle

The answer - and the second codeword - is NUTSHELL.

Infrastructurally precarious maze

The correct entrance - as indicated on Burney’s page of the journal - is B.

This route will take you through numbers 63251824.

The Laboratory

A round of Annihilation

MOHINDER used the ‘clown’ token. This name is codeword number three.

Burney’s cryovolcano experiment

The corrupted footage is from base computer Orpheus’ camera number 5, as noted in Falconer’s pages of the journal.

The video in the correct sequence therefore gives the number 11225221.

The Organisphere

Seedlings

Once you’ve worked out where all the seedlings go, use the plot numbers in the ‘crop order’ to get the following number code: 65138472

Christy’s simulated flight log

Following the log, the letters that Christy fly through spell out your fourth word: BRANCHES

The Control Room - again

The four capitalised phrases are anagrams:

  • AIRY BABOON VEST = OBSERVATION BAY

  • ERRORS MOVE = SERVER ROOM

  • HEN TICK = KITCHEN

  • DINGY BEAN COOK = DOCKING BAY ONE

Draw an X between these rooms on the map in the journal, and X marks the spot in QUARANTINE: the codeword, and next destination.

The Profoctor’s Perfidious, Perilous, Puzzling Predicament

Burney’s pages indicate to use the grid that is ‘Fig 3’. Figs 1 and 2 are red herrings, and give words you don’t need.

On Falconer’s journal pages (survival kit) there’s a ‘cleaning rota’ grid that indicates whose word is applicable to each row of the grid. ‘F’ is for Falconer, so the word she gave you - QUIXOTIC’ will be applicable to the top row of the final grid. Christy’s word ‘BRANCHES’ is applicable to the next row down, and so on.

The asterisks in Lowell’s ‘squid with a jetpack’ doodle indicates that you should use the first two and last two letters of each word when filling in the grid. (So remove the middle four letters of i.e. QUIXOTIC, to get the four letters QUIC and add these to row one of the grid.)

Christy’s pages give the symbols that mark out which letters - when deciphered in order - will spell out the final codeword:

The final codeword is: CEREBRUM
