Whoever sleeps in this room is not one for clutter.

There’s a bed. A chair. A wardrobe. A polished desk, almost clear but for a lamp and a pile of neatly stacked papers.

Searching a few drawers of the desk for clues, you find a dusty metal box. Inside, on a black velvet pad, is a highly-prized military medal. You are immediately overcome with an immeasurable respect for its owner.

And then you notice the book collection beneath the bedside table. It’s a pile of novels about dental hygienist-turned-detective Ethel McHaggard. ‘Tooth for a tooth’, ‘The Tooth Hurts’… The sort of trash you buy at a sys’port and leave in the book-swap corner of a Sys’BnB.

Just as you’re mentally downgrading ‘immeasurable’ to ‘deep-ish’, the device that the Profoctor gave you comes to life.

Loaded Gum

You flick through ‘Nothing but the Tooth’. The writing is excruciating.

…you blink, and realise you’ve been reading the strangely hypnotic prose for several minutes.

As you discard the book, you notice a scrap of paper protruding from underneath the bed. It reminds you of something in the Base Journal.

What’s the word?

Falconer’s Survival Kit

Inside the wardrobe is a military uniform, and a parade of well-ironed, plain t-shirts and trousers. Beneath the hanging items is a large, rugged Martian red-orange camo backpack.

Tucked beside the backpack is a folder containing five photographs, labelled ‘Monday’ to ‘Friday’.

At first glance it seems to be the same assortment of items in each photo. But when you take a closer look…

What’s the number?

Have you worked out the eight-letter word code and the eight-digit number code?

  • Write down the word code next to the name ‘Falconer’. You’ll need all four word codes, and the names of each team member, later.

  • Click below to enter the number code into your video device and go to the next room.

  • If the number code does not work, click ‘back’ in your browser to return to this page and try to work the code out again.
